Darrell went into the Marines right after High School. Due to his father's death, he was discharged before serving his full 4 years. When able to leave home again, he went to California where he joined the Army and served his time in Germany about the time that the Berlin Wall went up. He married and had two beautiful daughters before divorcing. After his service career, he began driving "Cross Country" Furniture Vans, visiting nearly every state in the union. He met and married Jeanine Nelson in Colton, CA. Marriage clipped his wings a bit and he began working locally for Bekins Moving and Storage where he drove the West Coast for over 27 years. He retired after 9 years from Ryder where he delivered goods to Target Stores throughout California and Nevada. In retirement, he and Jeanine have traveled extensively and he can now say he has been in EVERY State. They enjoy visiting their daughters and seven grandchildren. Debbie who lives in Carson City Nevada and her 5 children. Darcy who lives in Huntington Beach, Ca and her twins. Cruising to Alaska, Caribbean, and Mexico as well as many driving trips across the USA have kept them busy.
